Last Friday was a great night for University of Alberta Bear, Jay Olmstead, and Panda, Erin Walsh. Not only did their teams blank the visiting Regina Cougars in straight sets, Jay and Erin each received a NAVC Player Development Award. These awards are given annually to U of A athletes who played previously for NAVC and have at least 18 credits in their current university program. The awards were presented by Club President, Janet Kawchuk and Vice-President, Allan Aubrey during the annual "NAVC Night" when the club's players attend a U of A home game and cheer on their senior colleagues.
