Our record speaks for itself, having medaled at every level of our program. 2009 was an especially memorable year with our U16 men's team winning the national title.
Our U16 Gold Bears became National Champions by winning gold at the Canada West Open in Calgary. Coached by Dave Jones, Deen Lockhat and Yori Hagi, the team also won top honours in the province.
At the juvenile level, the 18U Gold Bears claimed provincial silver.
At the midget level, the 15U Gold Bears won their third consecutive provincial gold medal with the 16U Gold Bears winning gold on their way to the national title. The 15U Green Pandas pulled through to bring home silver in provincial play.
At the bantam level, our results were impressive. The 14U Gold Bears won their second consecutive gold medal while the 13U White Bears started their careers with provincial gold. Right there in the fray were the 14U Green Pandas who felt silver around their necks in a well-fought provincial final.
Coach and player of the year awards from the Alberta Volleyball Association were bestowed on Jackson Marris (Setter, 16U Bears), Dave Jones (Coach, 16U Bears) and Jeremy Deeks (18U Bears).
