NAVC U17 Griffins Coaching Staff

Brian is no stranger to NAVC and has been both a player and a coach for many years. Brian has coached teams from: Johnston Heights High School in Surrey, British Columbia, Lillian Osborne High School in Edmonton and Tyndale College and Seminary in Toronto, Ontario. His more recent coaching position includes Ross Sheppard High School Senior girls where they brought home the city championship after breaking a 50 year city championship dry spell. A week later the team brought home Ross Shep’s first provincial 4A volleyball medal. In the following year, Brian coached with Jace Barros at Edmonton Christian High School and led the Senior Boys to a 4A provincial bronze medal. After the school season, Brian was the assistant coach of FOG Black U18 boys where the team brought home multiple premier championships, a silver medal at Nationals and a Gold in the Bronze division at the USA Volleyball Boys' Junior National Championships.  Brian is currently finishing his Level 3 NCCP Volleyball certification.  He is also a Certified Level 1 Gymnastics & In-training for Level 2 Badminton.

Craig is no stranger to NAVC and is looking forward to another season with us. This is also Craig’s 2nd year coaching volleyball at The King’s University. He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of P.E. in 2015.  During his time at the U of A, Craig played for the Bears for 2 years and then coached for 3 years, his last year culminating with the Bears winning CIS Gold in 2014. Craig is entering his 9th year of coaching, and his 3rd year with Strathcona High School, where he lead the Men’s team to a Silver medal at 4A Provincials in 2014.

This is Shelby's 6th year coaching with NAVC. During her time with NAVC she has been part of several very successful teams. Shelby played for Concordia University and has been a previoius coach for the junior team at M.E. Lazerte High School girls team.She has also coached numerous summer volleyball camps.  Shelby is looking forward to working with our Ladies U17 Griffins team alongside Brian and Craig.
