Head Coach - Tristan Gerrie

Tristan Gerrie is currently a teacher at Bev Facey, and this will be his 9th year of coaching, and his 7th year of coaching club. He currently is the head coach of the senior mens team at Bev Facey, and has coached there for three previous seasons. He is a level two certified coach, and this will be his fourth season of club at the 17U and 18U level.  

After taking a season off from club last year he is very much looking forward getting back into coaching club, and hopes to pass on his experience and knowledge taken from previous years to a new group of athletes. His philosophy is a based on a simple process over result ideology, and believes that through determination accompanied by endless effort, results will be achieved.

Assistant Coach - Vincenzo Saporito

Vincenzo Saporito is a 23 year old business degree student in his last semester of Accounting. Vincenzo competed in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) for 5 years playing for the Lakeland College Rustlers located in Lloydminster, Alberta. He left Lakeland as the schools all time assist leader and tied an ACAC record with most assists in a 4 set match with 50 assists. 

Previous to his ACAC career, Vincenzo played 7 years of club volleyball in Edmonton, while winning 4 straight provincial championships and a national bronze with NAVC. Also, in 2012; attending Archbishop O’Leary High School, he won the team MVP award and the Edmonton and area High School Volleyball All-star Award.

While in Lloydminster, Vincenzo head coached the U18 Lloydminster Rustlers mens club volleyball team for 3 straight years starting at the age of 20. Currently he is an assistant coach at Archbishop O’Leary High School.

Assistant Coach - Brandon Campeau

Brandon Campeau is currently an active member of the Canadian Armed Forces where he is the Head Coach of the CFB Edmonton Mens Base Volleyball Team and has been an assistant coach under Head coach Tristan Gerrie for the Bev Facey Community High School Senior Mens volleyball team for the last two seasons. This will be Brandons 7th season of coaching and his 1st coaching club. He has 9 years of playing experience including a Canadian Armed Forces Mens National Championship, a U16 Provincial silver medal, and a 2nd and 3rd place finish at the ASAA 4A High School Provincial Championships. Although having the opportunity to play post Secondary volleyball Brandon chose a different path which led him into the Forces but still allows him to play today through various teams.

Having coached under Coach Gerrie for multiple seasons now Brandon has very much adopted and come to implement the process over result ideology. He is very effort driven and believes that a team with a common goal and a “team before self” attitude is more powerful then that of a group of individuals with tremendous skill. Brandon is currently in the process of completing his NCCP Level 2 coaching certification.
