NAVC Griffins 15M Coaching Staff
Head Coach - Matt Lischynski
Matthew is in his fourth year with NAVC. He has grown up playing multiple sports at thier highest level but has found the most love in volleyball. He played senior volleyball in central Alberta where he claimed the Athlete of Year Award for three years in a row. He has done everything in volleyball from playing to officiating.
In 2013 Matthew was the Assistant with the U15 Green Bears and an assistant coach for the Zone 6 Alberta Winter Games team that went on to take home a silver medal. In 2016, Matt was head coach for the Zone 6 Alberta Winter Games and that team went on to win Gold. This upcoming school season, Matt will be the head coach for Scona's junior men's volleyball team. He is in the process of completing his NCCP Level 2.
Assistant Coach - Paul Kuhse
This will be Paul Kuhse's second year coaching with NAVC. Last year he helped assistant coach the U13 age group where they did very well in their season winning medals at each tournament and bronze at provincials. Paul played 3 years of high school at Ross Sheppard and has played with many of the clubs in the city including Fog, Nooks, and NAVC in his final U18 year. Paul went on to play 2 years at MacEwan University and was part of the team for the first year that they transitioned from the ACAC conference to the CIS. Paul is excited about returning to coach again this year and plans to attain his level 1 coaching certification.
