NAVC Griffins 17M Coaching Staff

Ken is currently an Assistant Coach at The Kings University under the mentorship of Phil Dixon.  As well Ken serves as the Founder/Director of PursuitVolley high performance camps & clinics. He is also the lead of PursuitVolleys a development program for CCAA/CIS athletes to compete in the USA Volleyball Open National Championships annually.  Prior to returning to Edmonton, Ken was at Lethbridge College as one of the men's assistant coaches from 2013-2015. 

Ken has also been a Team Alberta Assistant Coach for the 17U Men in 2014 and 18U Men in 2015 where they were the Western Elites Gold Medalists both years.  He has also been a coach at both the Jasper Volleyball Camp & Sylvan Lake Volleyball Camps from 2011-2017. 

This will be Ken's second year coaching with NAVC, last year Ken helped led NAVC U16 Black to a Provincial Championship. Ken is excited to welcome back a strong core as well as some significant additions. 

 Ken is a fully certified Level 2 coach in volleyball and is looking forward to growing his extensive volleyball knowledge even further. 

Andre just finished a year stint at MacEwan University where he currently holds a MacEwan digs/set match record. Previous to his USport career, Andre competed in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) at Medicine Hat College for 2 years where he was a two time ACAC All Conference All Star, two time CCAA Academic All Canadian, two time ACAC All Academic, and Rookie of the Year nominee. While down south, Andre was also able to break both the Medicine Hat College digs/set record and most digs in a season record. Andre is also inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Athletic Honours Society. In addition to assistant coaching at NAVC, Andre is head coaching the 2018 Alberta Winter Games Zone 6 boys team and working as PursuitVolley’s technical director. This past summer Andre was the Volleyball Alberta Summer Camp Director at both the Jasper Volleyball Camps & Sylvan Lake Volleyball Camp. 

This is Andre’s 6th season with NAVC and is a Level 2 NCCP certified coach. In his spare time Andre both participates in and teaches yoga at the SATTVA School Of Yoga where he earned his 200hr RYT Yoga Teacher certification.
