Kyle Pushkarenko A·Head Coach

Bio Kyle comes to NAVC fresh off of his CIS National Championship as an assistant coach with the University of Alberta Golden Bears where he was a member of the coaching staff for two seasons. Prior to his involvement at the CIS level, Kyle was a head coach for the Medicine Hat College Rattlers of the Alberta Colleges Athletics Conference (ACAC) for eight seasons. While at Medicine Hat College, Kyle posted a league record well above the .500 mark, earned berths into post-season on four occasions and a bronze medal at one conference tournament, led his team to a national ranking as high as 3rd, and was awarded the ACAC Men’s Volleyball Coach of the Year Award in his 2008-09 season. Prior to his arrival at Medicine Hat College, Kyle participated with the McGill University volleyball program for three years as an assistant coach and player, as well as with the University of Saskatchewan for one year as a player. His accomplishments as a player resulted in two Academic All-Canadian designations and Quebec Student Sport Federation (QSSF) all-star honours while at McGill University. Kyle is a former Technical Director with the Northern Alberta Volleyball Club, and is currently an accredited Level 3 coach with the National Coaching Certification Program and is a Mentor Coach/Provincial Team Consultant with Volleyball Alberta.
